Nacèra Kainou is a French painter and sculptor whose work has been exhibited nationally, as well as in Djibouti, China and South Korea. In art as in life, she is passionate about human beings and explores ‘their otherness, their uniqueness and their truth’. For Kainou, the portrait is a landscape and the ‘crystallisation of an inner drama or poetry’. Her distinctive sculptural pieces are created in bronze, terracotta or resin.
